Between The Wall and The Sides (dir Dana Mashoian Walrath and Dylan Valley) is a 2D animation that forms a part of a bigger interdisciplinary project by Dana Walrath called The Book of Genocides. This film. based on Walrath’s visual installations and interventions, highlights how dehumanization narratives always precede genocides. Ultimately it seeks to argue that genocide is not an inevitable condition of the human experience and that we need to return to love and resistance.
